  • Preventing Theft and Fraud...

e:VAL is the next generation parking validation method. e:VAL is a secure, web-based electronic validation application that allows users to validate parking tickets using a standard web browser like Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.

Common problems and challenges like missing or lost validation tickets, theft, and fraud are eliminated with e:VAL. By providing validations electronically e:VAL reduces the waste associated with the paper validation tickets. The e:VAL Solution also provides reports on all validations, visitors, and cash management activities. Managers can generate comprehensive reports on all validation activity and the cost of the validations provided to visitors.

Who should look closer at the e:VAL Solution? Anyone who is involved with parking and wants to increase the bottom line. In the end, it’s all about efficiency, control, and profit. Contact us for a more in-depth presentation of the e:VAL Solution.

The e:VAL Kiosk Edition is a simple, small and robust solution that is designed to validate visitor parking fast and efficiently. The solution connects to the web through a wireless or wired connection, and provides real-time reporting and accountability.

e:VAL Kiosk Edition was developed to provide a self-service validation point with customer executed validation ability. This makes it ideal for high volume unattended or minimally attended validation points.

Currently one of our validation providers uses the solution to perform on average 8,000 validations per week. e:VAL Kiosk Edition can be remotely programmed to display custom display text or change the validation given "on the fly". e:VAL Kiosk Edition is ideal for retail environments including restaurants, theaters, grocery stores, and many other high volume visitor destinations.

Customer feedback is extremely important to us and we are constantly improving e:VAL Electronic Validation to meet customer's validation needs. Over the past several months our development team has reviewed a wide variety of feature requests, and included the most critical requests in e:VAL version 2.5.
Customers upgrading to e:VAL version 2.5 will see the following new features:

  • Excel Export – Frequently there are requests for reports in a format that can be tailored to meet customer needs. The ability to export validation reports into Excel lets administrators format and calculate their data as needed.
  • Read Only Facility Manager – Some Accounting departments require an audit of the validation activity yet do not want data accidentally modified. This read only role addresses that requirement by allowing access to all facility manager role information without the ability to edit.
  • Drop Down Custom Details – Another flexible feature of e:VAL is the ability to track or add custom information to a validation during or after a transaction. This can be done for billing reconciliation at a later time. The drop down custom details feature expedites the validation process while collecting valuable and accurate visitor information.
  • e:VAL® Kiosk Edition – The solution was created for customers that have limited space or no computer available to use our e:VAL Web Edition product. High volume and unattended validation requirements were the main goals with this product offering.

Preventing Theft = Increased Revenue

With e:VAL all validations given to visitors will include the name of the e:VAL user account that gave the validation. It is not possible to provide validations to visitors without knowing who provided the validation with e:VAL.

Recently we installed e:VAL at a location that was using stickers attached to parking ticket stubs as a means of providing parking validation. Part of the process during the transition to e:VAL was to collect all the old validation stickers from the tenants. The parking operator did their part and ensured all the sticker booklets were collected.

This should be the end of the story...Right? Even after the tenants returned all the old validation stickers some drivers were still presenting them at the exits. Upon closer examination of the validation sticker on the ticket it was determined that the sticker was counterfeit! Once these stickers were no longer accepted the parking facility realized a substantial revenue increase.

This is one example of how e:VAL can help prevent theft and fraud. e:VAL real-time reporting accounts for every validation.

e:VAL® Extras - Rate Change

Did you know that e:VAL supports the changing of the parking rate as a form of validation? This change in parking rate can be given by itself as a validation or with another validation such as a flat cash reduction.

For example assume the daily maximum rate at your facility is $20.00. As the facility manager you would like to allow some of your tenants the ability to offer their patrons a rate of only $10.00 maximum. In addition the tenant may want to cover the $10.00 charge for their patron.

We can work with you to set up these kinds of scenarios with existing features in the e:VAL application.
